# Create Role-Specific Study Notifications

Sometimes it’s necessary to send out blanket notifications to a specific user role (group of users with a common responsibility in the study). The Notifications can be sent as traditional email and/or push notifications, but can also be scheduled to display as a banner within TrialKit when those users are logged in.

Here’s an example of a notification banner displaying to Research Coordinators in a study. Users can receive the same message via email in parallel, depending on how important it is for them to see it right away.
