# Quick Casebook Navigation Tips

Did you know TrialKit provides tools to quickly jump around betweent forms and subjects when using the web? This quick article will cover the most common and helpful navigation methods to be aware of.

#### Jump to a specific Participant ID

Each time a page is loaded, the subect search box has keyboard focus, meaning you can start typing without mousing or tabbing to the searching field. Simply type a subject ID, or part of an ID and tap the enter key. If the subject ID is an exact match of one that exists, it will automatically open that subject’s casesbook. If the match is only partial, it will open the subject manager screen with the filter applied based on the text that was entered.

#### Find a form for the current subject

A couple shortcuts make for fast navigation within a subject casebook.

**i = open the** [**index list**](/v1/docs/subject-casebooks#navigating-between-records-and-accessing-forms) **of visits and forms**

Once it’s open, the search box is active to begin typing a form name

The index is also available on the App within the form toolbar, but keyboard shortcuts are not necessary on touchscreen devices.

#### Jump back to the subject’s casebook when a form is open

**c = when a form is open, tapping the c key will return the subject’s casebook screen**

Even without using the keyboard shortcut, there is always a link to return to the previous page or report without the need to start over in the page hierarcy.
